Yes! Certain products can be made up to 72 inches in length. Products that can exceed the standard 44" length include:

• All Plain Solid Bars (all sizes: 1/2" Square, 5/8" Square, 1/2" Round, 9/16" Round, 5/8" Round)

• Single Twist and Double Twist balusters

• Solid Tuning Forks

• Solid Ovals

• Solid Rectangles

Basically, all products in our Canadian Made using Canadian Steel collection (except shoes) can be made over 44". When ordering, select the "Custom Length 44 to 72 Inches" option and enter your desired length.

You can replace individual balusters if they are damaged or missing. However, for a consistent look, most homeowners replace all balusters on a staircase at the same time. If you're replacing wood balusters with iron, it's recommended to replace the entire section for a uniform appearance.

We will send replacement products free of charge.

Custom/made-to-order products (those with length cuts, angle cuts, or custom powder coating) can only be returned in cases of manufacturing defects or shipping damage, within 30 days of purchase. Because these items are made specifically to your specifications, we cannot accept returns for change of mind.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll notify you whether the refund was approved. If approved, you'll be automatically refunded to your original payment method within 10 business days. Please note it can take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since approval, contact us at orders@misterbaluster.com.

The Easy Install Kit ordering flow:

1. Check "Change Length and Colour" (only if you want modifications — default is 44" Flat Black)

2. Choose Powder Coat Color — 10 standard colors (White excluded for this kit)

3. Choose Baluster Length — In 1/4" increments from 30" to 44" (custom length field available)

4. Choose Screw Down Shoes — Select your preferred combination of Flat and Swivel shoes (total of 20). Options range from "20 Flat + 0 Swivel" through "0 Flat + 20 Swivel" in any combination.

We calculate international prices including tariffs based on the current exchange rate and current tariffs, duties, import taxes, and customs rates. These are updated in real-time, so the prices you see at checkout reflect the most current rates.

Yes, freight shipping is available for Pro Pricing account holders with larger orders. Freight shipping typically becomes cheaper than box shipping for orders over a certain amount. Contact us directly for freight quotes.

As of March 2026, the current tariff rate from Canada to the USA is 50% for products with a Canadian Country of Origin. For products with a non-Canadian Country of Origin, the tariff rate from Canada to the USA is 75%. These tariffs, along with duties and import taxes, are calculated and displayed at checkout so there are no surprise charges.

Screw-Down Shoes work with any 1/2" Square Baluster type. Pair balusters with Screw-Down Shoes to fasten them to your stairs and handrails. Use Flat shoes for level surfaces and Swivel shoes for angles. Each shoe includes two fastening screws. Optional: We can pre-cut balusters to your desired length.

How to Install:

1. Cut balusters to length.

2. Recommended: Apply epoxy in baluster shoes to avoid rattling.

3. Fit baluster ends in shoes and screw shoes to handrail and floor/stair tread.
